About GLPKit
GLPKit is a free collection of calculators and plain language guides for people using GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound for weight loss.
What GLPKit does
Starting a GLP-1 medication raises practical questions that are hard to answer from a prescription label. How much weight might I lose, and over how long? How much protein should I eat to protect my muscle? What will this cost me over a year? GLPKit turns the best published averages into simple tools that answer those questions in plain numbers, shown as ranges rather than promises.
Who runs GLPKit
GLPKit is built and run by a small independent team with a background in health content and websites. We are not doctors, pharmacists or a medical practice, and we do not sell medication or offer consultations. Nothing on this site comes from, or is endorsed by, the companies that make these medications.
Because we are not medical professionals, the site is careful about its limits. The tools give educational estimates for planning and for conversations with your own care team. They never recommend a medication, a dose or a treatment decision.
How the estimates are sourced
Every number on GLPKit has to trace back to something checkable. The weight loss estimates come from the published averages of the large clinical trials behind these medications, principally the STEP 1 trial for semaglutide and the SURMOUNT-1 trial for tirzepatide. The protein targets use the 1.2 to 1.6 grams per kilogram range commonly cited in weight management guidance for preserving muscle during weight loss. Each tool page explains its own method in a "how this estimate works" section and notes its sources, so you can see exactly where a figure came from and how rough it is.
Where research changes, we update the tools. Where a number is a simple calculation rather than a research finding, the page says so plainly.
How the site is funded
The tools are free to use. Over time the site may carry clearly labeled advertising or affiliate links to help cover its costs. Funding never changes a calculator result, and we do not sell personal data. See our privacy policy for details.
